Grantmaking
The Jacobs Family Foundation (JFF) has been making grants and supporting grassroots community transformation in southeastern San Diego since 1998. Through innovative grant-making and key partnerships, JFF has tackled community issues related to health, education, economic development, public safety, arts and culture, civic engagement, and the environment. Since Our grant-making has focused almost entirely on “The Diamond” neighborhoods, 10 communities emanating out from the intersection of Market & Euclid in the City’s 4th Council District. As well, we have provided technical assistance and fiscal agency to local nonprofits to increase their reach and effectiveness.
At this time, JFF is reviewing its guidelines and grant-making strategy, as it looks to increase its impact, fill needed gaps, and accelerate the sustainability of ongoing community change in The Diamond.
